Oakpark Security is proud to have recently renewed its membership of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).
The BSIA is the trade association for the professional security industry in the UK and acts as a key voice in educating on the value of the private security industry to external stakeholders. It provides essential thought leadership for the industry and draws together important ideas and concepts in order to promote the importance of a professional outsourced security industry.
It has initiated a number of significant industry campaigns in recent months, most notably around lobbying for the recognition of Security Officers as ‘key workers’ during the Covid19 pandemic, and more recently promoting acknowledgement for frontline security staff as part of ‘The Hidden Workforce’. This campaign aims to reset perceptions of the Security Officer amongst the general public and ensure that their contribution to public safety is recognised.
