On May 1st, Oakpark Security began a new partnership with a global food supply organisation at their Cambridgeshire storage and distribution facility.
The facility was recently opened and the customer was looking to entrust an outsourced security provider to propose and deliver a ‘greenfield’ security proposal for the site. Our team, led by Security Consultant Anthony Miller, conducted a site visit to collect the necessary information and quickly developed a bespoke proposal which was presented to a panel of the client’s key stakeholders.
After reviewing our proposal and receiving a positive response from the customer referees that we provided, Oakpark Security was selected as the preferred supplier to protect the newly opened distribution centre. The decision to award the contract to Oakpark Security was based on our ability to build a comprehensive proposal at short notice, our ability to understand the nuances within the customer requirements, and our strong local presence in Cambridgeshire.
Our Operations Manager for the Cambridge area, Alastair Munro, has since been busy overseeing a detailed mobilization plan for the contract, including the recruitment and training of a new Security team, all of which has been conducted under the challenging risk mitigation measures required as part of both Oakpark Security’s and our client’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
