Oakpark Security has secured a new two-year contract to provide Manned Guarding services to a client in Felixstowe, Suffolk. The contract begins on the 1st July 2018 and will see Oakpark provide a 24 hour manned security presence at the customers warehousing and storage facility based on the Felixstowe docks, one of the UK’s busiest commercial container ports.
After submitting a detailed written proposal and presentation to the customer as part of their tender process, Oakpark Security were selected as the new security partner based on our local management structure, ability to provide staffing resilience to the core team and success in understanding the nuances of the customer’s security challenges. Our comprehensive security solution will include transport management, access control and regular staff searches using electronic equipment.
There is now a challenging period of mobilisation ahead in which Oakpark Security will implement a detailed training and upskilling program for the site’s core security team and the local relief security officers who will support the contract. This will include development of IT skills, incident reporting and the ability to conduct searches in accordance with the best-practice guidance issued by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).
