This week saw the first batch of Oakpark Security staff complete their one-day Project Griffin workshop with the City of London Police. Managers and frontline security officers who are associated with our clients in the City spent the day being schooled in best practice relating to counter-terrorism awareness.

Project Griffin is national counter-terrorism awareness initiative. It’s aim is to engage, encourage and enable members of the community to work in partnership with the police to deter, detect and counter terrorist activity and crime. It allows security officers to receive training in detecting hostile reconnaissance, understanding methods of terrorist attack and what strategies are suitable to prevent terrorist attacks.

Operations Manager Rob Clark, who was among the first group to complete the training, commented: “This is a perfect example of Oakpark Security’s commitment to investing in people and to doing our utmost to increase the resilience of our customers to a major disaster or disruption”.
